| Can we have a Texas version of the Loch Ness monster? Can I tell my daughter and a few others they may not be nuts after all.....very interesting and I want to be kept in the loop! Are there even more people that have seen this? Chupacabra 4-13-2006 Two years ago my wife and I both saw something very strange. We were driving home late at night in East Texas near Crockett. We had turned off of FM-229 onto CR-2140 going towards the Marine and RV park. We had just come around a bend in the road that turned sharply to the left, when we saw something run right across the road in front of us. It was about 20 ft. in front of our car. We both said “What Was That!” at the same time. It was between 10pm and midnight and very dark on the road. There is a grassy area on both sides of the road so there was plenty of room to see it run in front of us. It ran from right to left diagonally in front of us. What we saw is described below in detail. We both later on drew a picture of what we saw and they look almost the same. The features we both noted were: About 4 feet tall and ran on the two hind feet. The knees ( or heels) bent backward, not forward as a human. It was extremely fast and made it across the road in 3 to 4 seconds. It leaned slightly forward as it ran but mostly upright. It had the body of a slim small child, not like a fat Kangaroo, Ostrich or Emu. The arms chugged back and forth like a person would run with clenched fists. The head had a pointed chin and a pointed top at the back like a roosters comb. The body looked gray or some other dark color. It was not fat, but was slim. The thing looked to be an Alien to both of us. We have never seen a picture of any known animal that resembled what we saw. It seems there have been many spotting of such a thing in the past. These are found on the Internet under Chupacabra. If you have other sightings of anything like this, we would like to know about them. The following is a composite drawing of what we saw.
