I came across this take on Crockett from a visitor, on you-tube. I found it interesting and
hope you do as well?
A visitors view of Crockett
Linwood resident Dub Thomas had sent this item of interest to me recently. It is a graph that shows the the
lake levels over the last 7-8 years. note the drought before Allison and the subsequent deluge of rain brought on
by Allison itself.

Marina Café "The Way Station" is open. I
finally got over for lunch and had a
great
chicken sandwhich and salad.  Brian and Nita
price have done a great job fixing the place up
and, yes, the bathroom is inside the café!

The Lemon family of Linwood show off their
9.2 pound lunker. It measured a
whopping 26 3/4".
Left to right: Paige, Christopher, Danny,
Dad (Steve) and Mom (Susie).
The Lemons reside in Deer park and visit the
lake whenever possible!
A lake resident pointed me in
the right direction for locating
these hard to find maps.
I bought 20 and will sell them for
$12.00 each as opposed to the
$15 on the Hook n Line site.
Christmas on the square will

It's the time of year when cool
fronts blow in continually.
Henry Kjellander has lived on
Houston County Lake since it was
first impounded in 1965.
Henry has vast historical
knowledge of the world wars and
far beyond. He used to make reel
to reel tapes of historical events
including the Japenese surrender
to the allied forces.
Henry has had many battles with
illnesses and has fought these
with a tenacity rarely seen today.
Henry has been trying to rebuild
old computers so he can have
internet service. If you can help
with this please contact me.

This fisherman takes advantage of
the cool morning. You can barely
make out the boat with the mist
that is coming off the warmer lake
water.
Do you have an older decent
computer you could donate?
Houston County Lake is cool!
